Annealed cold rolled steel coil (CRC coil) is cold-rolled coil that undergoes heat treatment. The process recrystallizes the cold-rolled strip, removes work hardening from rolling, and restores plasticity to achieve the intended mechanical and physicochemical properties.
The process flow is generally divided into preliminary heating, soaking at temperature, and controlled cooling so the material softens evenly and is suitable for forming, stamping, drawing, or further surface treatment. Black annealed CRC is supplied as sheet in coil with the characteristic dark, low-reflectance finish from the annealing atmosphere and surface condition.
